Capital Spend Survey

DfE collects data on responsible bodies' use of the School Condition Allocation (SCA), and Basic Need funding.

The 2024 Capital Spend Survey will collect project-level data from the 23/24 financial year.

The survey will open for submission on the 22nd April, with submission required by the end of the 14th June.

Please note that you can prepare your submission before the window opens. You can log and edit project data at any time, ready for submission when the survey window opens.

RAAC Questionnaire

The department continues to work with responsible bodies to identify confirmed cases of RAAC in state-funded education settings in England. Any state-funded education settings in England where the presence of RAAC is suspected or confirmed should now be reported using the 'Structural Issues' form.

Cases where RAAC has been confirmed by a suitably qualified professional (chartered surveyor or chartered engineer or other construction professional) will be assigned a caseworker. Cases where RAAC is suspected, but is yet to be confirmed will be added to the DfE Assessment Survey Programme. Further guidance is available here.

As questionnaire responses have now been received from all settings within the target period, the department has closed the RAAC questionnaire.

Should you have any difficulties reporting RAAC using the form, please email RAAC.Awareness@education.gov.uk.

School Rebuilding Programme

This portal is for Responsible Bodies to nominate schools they wish to be considered for the Department for Education's School Rebuilding Programme. It is designed to collect data to enable prioritisation of nominations.
